How to clean your room

hi guys!
I’m going to show you a (good :)) way to clean your room. I mean, you probably know how to clean your room, but if you’re working with a cleaning-plan, it might feel a little bit more like you’re ever going to finish it. Like, you can say to yourself: “omg, I already finished step 5! This is easier than I thought!”.
I’m just trying to say that I hope it’ll help you :)

Oh, and I managed to finish the mess you see on the picture (yeah, that’s my room…) so I must be a pro-cleaner ;)

1. Play some music to create a good vibe :) (I highly recommend Justin Bieber :))
2. Get a plastic bag and throw all your trash in it. When you collected all that, you can immediately throw everything away - you don’t need that plastic bag anyway, right?
3. Get another plastic bag and throw everything in it that you never use but still don’t want to throw away. Hide it somewhere behind your bed or in your closet :)
4. Collect all your clothes and hang them properly in your closet.
5. Dirty underwear has. to. go.
6. Bring the dirty dishes to the kitchen & clean them later.
7. Make your bed.
8. Now check everything: is your bureau clean? What about the floor, your night stand and makeup table? Clean everything that’s left.
8. Make your bed.
9. (Optionally) display your “cool” books (if you have some), perfumes and photos. It just looks nice :)

I hope this helped!

hi my lovely viewers!
Today I wanted to do a little shoplog for you :) I know shoplogs are usually a video, but I’m too scared to post a video on my blog to be honest.. 😊 Let me know if you’d like a video though, maybe that’ll give me some courage :)

Anyways, today my package from Topshop finally arrived (I ordered it last week on December 13th..) and I’m so so so happy with everything I ordered! I always find it a little bit scary to shop online, because then I don’t know for sure if the clothes fit. But I don’t have to worry about that anymore, because everything fits perfectly! :)

1. So, I bought this Daisy Duck underwear.. I just couldn’t not buy it! It’s so cute! :) It cost €5,-.

2. Oh my gosh, I love this shirt. I’ve been wanting a shirt with a turtle neck for a while now, and this one is just perfect! It’s hard to see in this picture, but the fabric is ribbed, which gives the simple design just that little bit extra :) It cost €25,-.

3. I have a thing for over-the-knee socks. I just love them. These color blocked ones are perfect for a “I’m not going to do anything - day” but they also look great with my fake Dr. Martens from H&M Divided :) They cost €9,-.

So, that was everything I bought at Topshop. But the shoplog isn’t over just yet :) Yesterday I went to Primark with a few friends, so I wanted to show you what I bought there, too!

4. I don’t think you can ever have enough lip balms, so why not buy this super cute lip balm with candy canes on the tin for only €1,-?!

5. This breath spray is absolutely amazing. It’s really refreshing & it has a nice pepperminty taste. I bought only one at first, but when I tasted it, I immediately felt like I needed another one. So, I bought another one :)
They cost €1,- each.

6. Lastly, I bought white lace socks, and they are so cute, but since I wore them yesterday they are dirty now. And that’s really obvious since they are white.. So I chose to not post a picture of them. They are reaaally cute though. They cost €2,-.

I hope you guys like everything I bought!

hi guys :)
I’m personally having a very busy time at the moment, and because I think a lot of you guys are having a busy time too, with Christmas and everything, I wanted to do a post about “relaxation”. That word sounds weird, I know. I just mean taking some time for yourself to let it all out. “Let it go!”, like Elsa would say.

You don’t need much time to just let go of your worries and relax. I’ll give you some ways to relax, even if you’ve only got 5 minutes.

5 minutes of spare time
- You can’t let your worries and “things to do” go if you don’t write them down. So, write down everything that’s on your mind, and don’t think about them in these five minutes.
- Listen to music. With headphones or earbuds, because only then you can fully focus on the music. Let the lyrics of your favorite song be all you think about.
- You can also sit in full silence, close your eyes, and try not to think at all. Make sure you don’t move! Have your full attention by your breath. Maybe it’s easier if you imagine being Buddha :)

10 minutes of spare time
- Take a shower, and feel how the water takes every worry away from you. At least, that’s what it’s supposed to do :)

30 minutes of spare time
- Draw or read. You can do that in 5/10 minutes too, but then it’s a bit frustrating that you have to get back to work so soon, and you can’t even finish your drawing or the chapter of the book you’re reading. And I’m pretty sure you can in 30 minutes :)
- Watch a TV-series with episodes of 20 minutes. I recommend New Girl and Modern Family :)

60 minutes of spare time
- For me, the ultimate relax-thing to do is to watch Gossip Girl. Even better when you’re wearing sweatpants and an XL sweater.
- Bake cookies or something. The smell of homemade cookies makes everyone happy right? :)

Okay, so that was it for this blogpost! hope you liked it :)

hi :)
Today I wanted to do a “wish list post”. So, a few things from my wish list:
1. Baby lips electro in “Minty Sheer”. You can’t have enough lip balms in cold winter days like these! Plus, I loooove mint lip balms.
2. Another thing for your lips: the Bubblegum lip scrub from LUSH. I used to have (it’s empty now..) the Popcorn lip scrub from LUSH, and I totally loved it! Since it’s empty now, I’d like to try another lip scrub from LUSH, like Bubblegum.
3. I love this scarf from “Monki”! It makes me think of the beautiful scarfs from “Acne”, but the Acne scarfs are like €130, and this one is €20, so I’d rather buy this one!
4. I really want a black skinny high waisted jeans! They’re so simple, but very fashionable :) This one is from Topshop.
5. This one isn’t on my wish list anymore, cause I own one now (yaay!) but a tattoo choker was on my wish list for a long time, so I wanted to share it with you anyways.
6. And last but not least: (this one isn’t on any of the pictures, by the way) a simple black blank Moleskine notebook. They’re so classy! :) But, they’re really expensive, so yeah :(

What’s on your wish list?

Aren’t these beautiful? Instead of a color theme for my post with We Heart It pictures, I decided to choose “places” as a theme this time.
1. New York, gorgeous as always.
2. Doesn’t this look like pure perfection?!
3. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
4. London!
5. Oh my gosh, I’d love to swim there!
6. Same as 5…
7. Reminds me of the summer holiday! :)
8. Picture the view from that train.. wow!
9. And there is London again…
10. This looks like a screenshot from Gossip Girl… Let me know if you recognize it too!
Which is your favorite?

Hi guys! :)
Today I went to China Light with my parents and my little brother and it was amazing! There were so many beautiful lights. When we entered, there was this Chinese song playing softly, which totally made the whole experience even better. Some parts of the lighted “artworks” we’re even moving!

I read that it’s an old tradition of the Chinese. Once a year, they light thousands of “artworks”, like I called them earlier, to please the God of heaven and pray for a good harvest that year.

Well, I hope you liked the photos, and if you happen to be in Utrecht, you should definitely check it out! :)

Happy Thanksgiving guys!
I know Thanksgiving was two days ago, but better late than never, right? :)
Today I’ll share a pumpkin pie recipe with you, I made the pie on Thanksgiving, and it was delicious! :)

What you need;
Dough: 250 gr. flour, 125 gr. sugar, 1 tsp salt, 150 gr. butter, 4 egg yolks

Pumpkin spice filling: 600 gr. pumpkin, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp cloves powder, 1 tsp allspice powder, 100 gr. sugar, 1 deciliter cream, 2 eggs, 4 egg whites

What do you need to do?
1. Mix all the “dough-ingredients” in a KitchenAid or any other mixer. Make a ball of the dough with your hands, and put it in the fridge for an hour.

2. Peel the pumpkin (I don’t know for sure if that’s the right way to say it in English, but I think you understand what I mean, right?), and cut it in squares.

3. Boil the pumpkin.

4. Take the dough out of the fridge when an hour has passed, and put it in a tray for your pie.

5. Then you should take your KitchenAid again, and put every “filling-ingredient” in the mixer, except for the egg whites.

6. Mix your egg whites apart, so they become solid, white and fluffy.

7. Then mix the fluffy egg whites through the rest of the filling, so the filling becomes thicker.

8. Fill the pie with the pumpkin spice filling, and put it in the oven for around 40 minutes, on 180 degrees Celsius, till it’s golden brown.

Enjoy your pie! <3

Hey :)
So, I bought these a few days ago (at H&M), and I just needed to share them with you! They’re so gorgeous! Edgy, but still feminine. When I’m wearing these, and I look at my feet, I feel so happy! Anyway, I just wanted to share them with you. I’m thinking about posting a “How I wear these” soon. Let me know if you’d like that!
You can buy them at H&M for €29,99.

hey :)
Today my dad and I (mostly my dad actually, but I tried to help as much as I could :)) hung this amazing branch aka clothes hanger on the wall. I love it! So I wanted to make it into a DIY for you guys :)

It was actually really easy: you just have to screw some screws in the wall (like you see in the second picture), and put the end of the branch between them (my parents found this branch for me in the forest, by the way. So, this DIY is extremely low-budget too!). At the other end we only screwed two screws in the wall, because the branch was stable just laying upon them. Now you just have to hang your clothes on the branch, or jewelry like I did at the end of it (see the third picture).

I hope I inspired you with this DIY!
Good luck <3

hey :)
It’s been a while, since I read this book. But, it occurred to me that I hadn’t written a review yet. So, that’s what I’m doing today! :)

The perks of being a wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky
It’s about Charlie, a freshman in high school, who becomes friends with Patrick and Sam. They are a few years older than Charlie, but Charlie becomes a part of their world anyway and learns about the things they do, which people his age usually don’t.

I found it hard to describe what the book is about, so if you want a better description, you can always Google it :)

It’s not written like a normal book. You read thousands of letters Charlie has written to an almost-random person, “I’m writing to you because she said you listen and understand (…)” is the first sentence of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. So he doesn’t know him/her, but he hasn’t really picked a random person either. In the letters he tells him/her about what happened.

So, I liked the book, but, it’s not one of my favorite books ever, or something like that. It’s very real, which is a good thing, but some parts felt a bit like over sharing to me. Though it hasn’t really happened of course, but still.
I still recommend it to everyone, though! I enjoyed reading it, after all.

You can buy it at book stores or online, for £7.99. If you’re not into reading, there’s also a movie based on this book :)

Today I wanted to tell you about this amazing app! It’s named “fahlo”, and I totally love it, so I’m going to tell you some more about it :)

When you’ve downloaded Fahlo (it’s free!) you can join a community. When you join a community, it means you’re in that person’s fan club. On the left picture you can see the fan clubs I’m in. I mostly spent time “in” Justin Bieber’s fan club, because I’m a big fan of Justin, and with the others it’s more that I just like them.
So, what do you do in the fan club? Well, in Justin’s fan club (for example) Justin and his team post pictures & gif’s, lyric trivia, and music. If you “like” a post, you earn “Fahlo coins”. With those you can unlock exclusive posts. I had to “pay” 3000 Fahlo coins, to listen to the preview of Santa Tell Me (Ariana’s song that’ll be released soon), for example. Fahlo also makes you able to get tickets at the presale, if you’re in the touring person’s fan club.
And there’s more — like earning badges for spending time in someone’s fan club, or commenting a lot. You should just check it out.

Hey :)
So I’m gonna post a DIY on how to make your own notebooks! I love making them (see my previous blogpost about things that make me happy :)) and I wanted to share it with you.

What you need:
- magazines
- a scissor
- a needle and some thread
- paper

How to:
1. You start of by cutting a nice page from a magazine and fold it in half. (You can also fold the half in half, if you know what I mean. It depends on the size you like :)) This is gonna be the cover of your notebook.
2. Now you’ll have to fold some pages the same way you folded your cover. Make sure the pages “fit” in the cover.
3. The last thing you have to do is sewing the cover to the pages. You can cover the stitches up with washi tape, if you want to.
It’s so simple, and they turn out so cute. I hope I inspired you with this idea :)

Hey!
I bet you all know Elsie and Emma, from www.abeautifulmess.com. Well, they’ve improved their shop, and I wanted to tell you something about it, because there are huge improvements!

1. Happy Mail
So they’ve released “happy mail” and it sounds awesome! If you subscribe to happy mail, which costs $15 a month, you can expect to receive a box full of stationary goodies (you can think of cards, stickers etc.) worth of $50 each month! Amazing, right?
click here for more information: www.shop.abeautifulmess.com/happy-mail

2. Messy box
This monthly subscription box isn’t there yet, but it’s coming soon, and sounds even better than “happy mail”, to my opinion! This is what Elsie and Emma tell us about it: “We’re excited to have put together a monthly box of goodies you can craft with. The Messy Box is meant to inspire you to learn new techniques, explore your artsy side and make beautiful, imperfect photo books. Each month is designed around a technique or certain artistic focus so you can take your photos out of your phone and into books in your own style.”
Sounds cool, right? :) I don’t know what this box will cost yet, because it’s only coming soon, but I hope it will be affordable, cause I’d love to subscribe!

There are many more new things to their shop, but to my opinion, these two are the most exciting improvements!
Here’s a link to their shop: www.shop.abeautifulmess.com
