Last minute Christmas present DIY!

hey :)

Today I made this little hand warmer, and I wanted to share the DIY with you guys :) It’s super easy, and it’d make a cute gift :)

Supplies: 

- a ribbon

- a sock (yes really a sock)

- needle & thread

- anything you’d like to decorate with

- rice

- scissors

How to?       

1. Cut the sock in half (don’t forget to wash it first!). 

2. Decorate the bottom half (you’re not going to need the other half).

3. Fill it with rice.

4. Sew it where you’re going to tie it off with the ribbon, to make sure the rice won’t escape ;)

5. Add the ribbon, and you’re done!                                                                                                

Put it in the microwave for about a minute, so it becomes warm/hot. Then it’s a perfect hand warmer!

I can’t wait for Christmas! Seriously… “it’s the most beautiful time of the year..” (- Justin Bieber, Mistletoe). 

Anyways, I wanted to share 3 Christmas YouTube videos with you, because personally, I just love watching these.

So I’m gonna post a DIY on how to make your own notebooks! I love making them (see my previous blogpost about things that make me happy :)) and I wanted to share it with you.

What you need:
- magazines
- a scissor
- a needle and some thread
- paper

How to:
1. You start of by cutting a nice page from a magazine and fold it in half. (You can also fold the half in half, if you know what I mean. It depends on the size you like :)) This is gonna be the cover of your notebook.
2. Now you’ll have to fold some pages the same way you folded your cover. Make sure the pages “fit” in the cover.
3. The last thing you have to do is sewing the cover to the pages. You can cover the stitches up with washi tape, if you want to.
It’s so simple, and they turn out so cute. I hope I inspired you with this idea :)

So today I wanted to do a post about how I displayed my polaroids :)
I’ve seen this idea (a “garland of polaroids”) a dozen times, but I decided to do it just a tiny bit different; instead of using a clothespin to secure the pictures to the thread, I used washi tape.
I think more people have washi tape on hand, I mean, I don’t have clothespins, and I also think that the washi tape is a nice detail to give it some more color.

I just wanted to share this with you guys :) I hope you like the idea of adding washi tape!

Luckily, the problem with my tumblr is fixed, so I’m able to post again! Yay! :) You must’ve noticed, cause I already posted two posts after the “break”.
So today I have a small DIY for you guys. I saw this idea on weheartit.com and it’s probably also on Pinterest. I tried it out and I liked it, so I decided to share it with you.
You need a notebook (or a piece of paper), a magazine, scissors and glue.

This is what you’re going to do;
1. First, you get your scissors and magazine and you cut some triangles out of the magazine. If you want it to be precise, you should take a certain length, and make every base of the triangle like three centimeters and every corner exactly the same. I guess if you’d do that it’d be prettier, but I’m impatient and I don’t really care if it’s messy, so I didn’t.

2. After that, you paste every triangle on the paper the way they fit in each other. Because I still had space left above the triangles, I wrote the quote: “Fall in love with your life” above them. You could do that if you want :)

That’s pretty much it, I guess. I hope you like this post, and let me know if you’re going to try!

I love those candies.
And, I love their cute packaging even more! The boxes are so cute — I decided to collect them (yeah, I’m really obsessed with those) and turn them into something useful.
So I made this small box that you could use to.. I don’t know. Whatever you want to with a box.
(In the picture the candies are in them, but that’s not something I recommend cause it’s easier to eat them straight out of their cute little boxes, but I just thought it would look cute..)
And there’s that thing I really like; you have something like secret places in the box (where you usually take the candies out) to hide your money or private messages from your friends.

Ik heb een leuk DIY projectje voor jullie! :) Een tijdje geleden heb ik een wit shirt uit m’n vaders kast meegenomen. Groot en rekbaar: heerlijk voor een dagje bankhangen! Ik vond ‘m alleen wel een beetje saai… Eerst was ik van plan om strijkletters te kopen op de markt, maar uiteindelijk heb ik voor een nog veel makkelijkere manier gekozen: waskrijt! 

Het enige wat je nodig hebt is waskrijt en een (wit) shirt. Ik heb ervoor gekozen om een hartje op mijn shirt te tekenen. Eerst maak je (met potlood) de outline van je tekening op je shirt, als je tevreden bent kun je het gaan inkleuren met waskrijt. Toen ik klaar was, heb ik het ongeveer een dag laten ‘drogen’ en daarna heb ik het aangetrokken. Het gaf nog steeds een beetje af, maar aan het einde van de dag was het alweer minder. Je hebt er sowieso niet zo’n last van!

Lekker in bad met je tijdschriftje! Alleen… Als je uit bad stapt is de onderkant kletsnat.. En…:

1. Het leest sowieso niet echt lekker.
2. Geld voor zo’n duur ‘badtafeltje’ heb je niet. Helaas…

Daarom deze DIY! Ik worstel al maanden met dit probleem, en nu heb ik een oplossing!
Stap 1. Zoek een doos die niet zo groot is dat hij niet in het bad past, maar ook niet zo klein dat ‘ie gelijk naar de bodem van het bad valt. Zo dat hij precies in het midden blijft hangen.
Eigenlijk ben je nu al klaar! Je moet de onderkant van de doos daar laten hangen, en je bad laten vollopen (niet zo vol dat de doos nat wordt). Dan zet je je tijdschriftje in de doos, samen met een kop thee en Tony’s Chocolonely (die met zeezout en karamel, mmm…). En je gaat lekker in bad zitten!

Hoi allemaal!
I really LOVE summer-bracelets!
Daarom bij deze een DIY voor een pailletten-armbandje. (Zie het groene armbandje om m’n pols)

Waarschuwing: je hebt hier veeeel geduld voor nodig!

Stap 1. Kies een of twee kleuren pailletten uit die je wilt gebruiken voor je armbandje. Ik heb gekozen voor groene pailletten.

Stap 2. Maak naald en draad klaar.

Stap 3. Maak een knoopje aan het einde van de draad zodat de pailletten er niet van af glijden.

Stap 4. Haal dan de naald door het gaatje in het midden van de pailletten, zodat ze op de draad komen. Ga door tot het armbandje lang genoeg is.

Stap 5. Vraag je zus/moeder/vriendin om het armbandje om je pols te knopen met de uiteinden van de draad.

Klaar!! Jeejj! :). Misschien is het leuk om bijv. 3 van zulke armbandjes te maken, in verschillende kleuren?
